David and Winna, the passionate owners, built their business on family legacy, continuing the tradition of good food started by David’s father at the same site years ago. This connection to Fairbanks roots inspires their commitment to the Golden Heart community. The couple views their work as more than business; it’s a calling to share joy through memorable meals and genuine interactions.

Over a decade later, their restaurant is a local gem known for generous portions, diverse menus ranging from traditional soul food to innovative breakfast creations, and a friendly vibe where customers are greeted by name. Can’t do any better than this! The owner, Winna, is an exceptional host and conversationalist - when she talks with you, she seems genuinely interested. And the food - yum! We had a keto breakfast sandwich and a regular breakfast sandwich and they were cooked to order, hot, and tasty.

A+ service. They know you on a first name basis. The food is always 5 stars. Every single time. Never a complaint & always end up full from the portions. I like ordering on Toast, they have it ready so quick! But you can dine in and get it fast, too. I have tried so many menu items & I feel like I still have over half the menu to go before having everything. Love coming here and would recommend to everyone. All ages kinda place!

DW Grill catered my son’s rehearsal dinner. Throughout the process of arranging the meal we were well-cared for. The day of was very smooth and the food was absolutely delicious. Amazing staff - good and vibe !! They took my Picture on for my scrapbook plus stickers !! And a lovely DW croc gem ! and we had an amazing convo in the morning the food was out of this world amazing & we are so full and having an awesome start to our day !

Hands down the best place and HIGHLY recommended! Winna and David (and their staff) were so welcoming and made us feel like family.
